Dr. Rama Prasad has a career path that is across industry and academia. After graduating from Cornell University with a PhD in MEMS, Dr Prasad joined Hewlett Packard Co in 1996 in the Inkjet printing business. At HP she worked on several generations of new products and platforms that improved customer experience and product specifications. She did both silicon printhead design and manufacturing development in various roles. She joined Microvision in 2008, and then Honeywell Advanced research lab leading new technology development as well as research proposal writing and execution of DARPA funded projects. Since 2013, Rama has collaborated with research professors and other entrepreneurs to launch and build startup companies. She is the founder CEO of Teqnizan that was built from a novel idea to revenue generating business. This business is being acquired/folded into another company. Rama also taught graduate level courses in the Medical Device Innovation program of University of Minnesota from 2017 - 2021.
