Niklas Boers studied physics and mathematics at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München and TUM and obtained his doctorate in theoretical physics at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. He then conducted research on various topics of theoretical Earth system dynamics at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research, the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Paris, Imperial College London and Freie Universität Berlin. In 2021, Niklas Boers was appointed to the professorship for Earth System Modeling at TUM.
