Bio

Dr. Antonio Rodríguez Alcalá is a distinguished researcher and professor at Universidad Anáhuac Mayab in Mérida. He earned his Ph.D. in Architecture with honors from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) in 2012. His work focuses on the restoration and conservation of cultural heritage buildings, particularly in Yucatán and other Mexican states. He founded with Dr. John Chuchiak in 2017 Præteritas Urbes, a technology-based consulting and cultural projects firm with active projects in the US, Guatemala and Mexico. Dr. Rodríguez Alcalá has also delivered lectures at both national and international forums, addressing topics like architectural conservation, teaching architecture, and design.
