i really like of the teaching process Financial management is a critical component of any organization’s success. It involves the strategic planning, organizing, directing, and controlling of financial activities, including procurement and utilization of funds. A strong financial management system ensures that an organization makes the most efficient use of its financial resources to achieve its objectives and maintain long-term stability. One of the key strengths of effective financial management is its ability to support informed decision-making. Through budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, organizations can anticipate challenges, measure performance, and adjust strategies proactively. It helps in identifying profitable opportunities, managing risks, and maintaining a healthy cash flow. Moreover, proper financial management fosters transparency and accountability. With accurate reporting and compliance with regulatory standards, stakeholders gain confidence in the organization's operations. It also helps avoid financial missteps and potential legal issues. However, financial management is not without its challenges. It requires up-to-date knowledge of market trends, tax laws, and financial instruments. The rapid advancement of technology also demands that financial managers stay current with new tools and systems, such as automated accounting software and data analytics platforms. In conclusion, financial management is indispensable for sustainable growth and operational efficiency. Whether in a small business, a large corporation, or a nonprofit organization, strong financial management practices can be the determining factor between success and failure.

It is an OK course, but for someone like me who had little background of finance still struggled in the class because I felt that many of the concept is no explained clearly. I understand that the professor tried to illustrate through examples but I felt that the example does not explain anything other than merely listed and repeated the numbers.

Regarding accounting, the course was not so easy for a beginner learner. Most example case questions were good, but I wish the instructor explicitly explained how to solve those questions. Also, I was disappointed that lots of questions in the discussion forums have not been answered by the instructor.

i really enjoyed the course since I had previous knowledge of the subject. However all the quizzes had questions that contained topics that were not discussed anyone in the lectures. For instance a question regarding LIFO reserve. Some of the topics were usually found in intermediate accounting.

Oversimplified. Most of the interesting topics have been avoided in this class and were only covered in the book which was optional.

Recommend the Introduction to Financial Accounting Course from UPenn, which is more informative and more engaging.

The content is clear, but the delivery is boring. I prefered the old fashion accounting module from Wharton.

Not consistent in terminology. That would not be a problem if the instructor pointed it out.
