It covers all of the aspects of Version Control in depth, and does an excellent job of explaining every concept to a beginner. I took this course with the intent to 'audit' it, and see how well was it really made. Can it teach everything necessary to a beginner? The answer is a resounding "yes"! The quality and depth of this course has exceeded my expectations. Simply put, this is the course I wish could have taken 8 years ago. This course can teach you everything that took me months to learn in only weeks! Incredible quality. Well done!

This is the most incredible Version Control course I've ever taken. I learned a lot about Git and GitHub, as well as the differences between the two. I also learned about various VCSs. I learned how to fork, commit, and push repositories by conducting the practical labs. I also learned how to use UNIX and Git commands. I also like how the instructor explains.

One thing I should add is that the repository for the provided lab is not available. This is a concern, but it has no impact on the general quality of the course.

This is one of the best online course on Version Control for many reasons. I want to explain some. First and foremost, the course's structure is really good. Secondly, the teacher knows deeply and use it in her daily job and most importly the course is well paced, giving you a time span to finish on time. Beside grasping git and hithub you will use comfortably the bash command line that is a very usuful tool IT. If you don't know till now which oneline course to take on the subject, I strongly recommend it.

This course made Git, GitHub, and Command Line a lot easier to understand and took away a lot of the intimidation with working without a GUI. It demonstrated and went step by step on all the commands you need to know while collaborating on a project and setting up projects. And the additional readings contained a lot of useful resources that I'll come back to.

Hello ! I don't know if you can read this but I would like to make a suggestion. You should also get QR Codes on certificates because if someone prints it out to give it to someone he/she/reiciever would have to type the verification link in a browser instead of just scanning the QR Code and getting the link already written. I hope you like this suggestion!

The skills I learned from this course were directly applicable to my current job. Learning how to use git is crucial for programmers and this course explains how to use GitHub as well as work with git in the local environment as well. I recommend it for anybody wanting to differentiate themselves from novice programmers and elevate their skills.

The course is very useful. There may be a need to update the walkthroughs in the course due to changes made to some user interfaces, related to online resources and programs. Having to feel your way through a system or resource that doesn't quite match the in-course example does help with remembering the material and newly learned skills.

Meta's Version Control course was transformative. The hands-on approach, expert instructors, and practical projects were outstanding. It is a great introduction to version control. The course focuses on git and GitHub. Since GitHub changes rapidly the course screenshots were sometimes outdated. Figuring out things on your own add to the learning experience. All in all, this is a great course. Well suited for beginner to intermediate learners.

This was most required course for the most required skill to be a developer.

Very good course. People always just give you a cheatsheet of command line arguments to use Git without explaining anything and I could never find good ressources I liked for my style of learning. This is a pretty perfect course. It's so well explained everything feels easy.

This course really help me understand what is Version Control & how it works. Along with some basic essential command line and additional knowledge in proper manner. This course is a must for anyone getting into software engineering. Great course overall. :)
