The first week starts with defining emotional intelligence. Then, the EQ-i2 model is introduced along with tools to help you create psychological safety and a collaborative environment on your program and project teams.

The second week describes the four components of the cultural intelligence model. You will learn methods to work effectively with the different cultures of your program or project teams and stakeholders.

In the third week, you will learn about the coordinated management of meaning. You will appreciate the value of taking the communication perspective and how to navigate the many social worlds in your programs or projects.

For the last week, we walk through a case study that demonstrates how to use four tools of the coordinated management of meaning: the LUUUTT Tool, the SEAVA Process, the Daisy Model, and the Hierarchy of Meaning Tool. Students will be able to help diagnose and resolve communication issues on their program or project teams.
