This is a perfect course for people who are absolute beginners. Maybe you've never written code before or you have very little knowledge. The course doesn't make any assumptions about what you know and basically teaches you the building blocks from scratch. Basically, you're learning the ABCs and 123s.

Awesome course! Dr. Charles has a great personality and breaks down material into simple statements that anyone can understand and follow, and the resources that are included that he made are a great help for the coursework.

I had a fun time blowing up code, getting traced back and taking it personally!

This was an amazing course. I previously tried to learn python but this is the most interesting course to learn for me. Previously I started and ended up in the middle but this time, I'm done with course and learnt a lot. And will be too much excited for the next courses. Thanks for the amazing course.

Actually it was my first online class, and I really enjoyed it, because it involved me in this community of online courses. And Dr. Chuck was really inspiring person for me, and it really helped me to realize how these online courses worked. And also learn basic knowledge in fun way about the Internet.

The course is so clear that even if you have absolutely no idea about programming, you can understand programming concepts and learn Python easily. Thank you so much for the great work put into developing this course. The lectures were very easy to follow and engaging as well. I really enjoyed the hands-on assignments and I found the questions on the quizzes to be relevant. This was a fantastic introduction to Python and to programming in general.

This course seemed course started a little slow covering the very basics of how computer hardware and software interact. However, I did learn a few things and look forward to taking more advanced programming courses with Coursera. I really appreciate Coursera focuses on the "why" as much as the "how".

Fairly phenomenal course. Goes at a pace extremely usable for someone who has never learned a programming language. The fact that the course is written for Python 2.7 instead of 3.0 makes it slightly outdated, but it is an easy fix once you get the hang of the syntax differences between the iterations.

Wonderful training, really well put together by Dr. Chuck. His didactis is unbelievable! It makes learning not only much easier but really enjoyable! Programming makes sense to me now.

The course material is well thought out and progresses in a way that allows for full understanding of how the language works. I have tried learning Python, C++, and Java from other sources; this is the first time I feel I have been successful. I want't to learn more!

I liked very much the approach used for teaching programming. Clear, simple, progressive and giving practical techniques. I also appreciated a lot, the extra articles and interviews given at the end of each chapter. They enrich deeply the whole learning environment with touches of real world. Great !

This course helped me understand and write basic python programs confidently and the way of teaching by the instructor Mr. Charles is really effective as I was able to absorb and understand the information and there was no problem I faced going through the course also the book and exercises are great.

When I first enrolled in this course, I was initially worried about how complex things would be. Starting through the first week, I found myself learning a ton of things thanks to Professor Severance and his presentations. I definitely learned many things from the course and had so much fun doing so!

I already know a few programming languages and started this course because I always wanted to learn Python. It's been really easy for me. But i see why he made it so easy. You seriously can become a Programmer even if you never coded in your life with this course. I wish i had this when i started out.

O professor é muito alto-astral o que me deixou mais engajado com o tema. O curso é tido para ser feito em 7 semanas mas em 6-7 horas você finaliza.

I loved this course. The instructor was so good at explaining concepts. I grasped everything immediately. The discussion forum was helpful when i got stuck at doing assignments. The overall experience was very nice. I would like to continue and gain a specialization in this course.

This is my first course in coursera. I never expect the teaching would be these much good. Thanks to the teacher. He's just mind blowingly fantasic. Also this is the best couse to startup with programming. Thank you coursera for such opportunity to learn such things. And also Thanks to the instructor.

The course was very well structured. I've coded in several other languages but I think even a beginner would benefit and learn from this course. If I've any issues it's just the final assignment is an almost a sudden exponential level of difficulty compared to the previous ones, but I'd be nitpicking.
