I am very impressed with this course. I have a degree in IT but currently, I wok in HR. My hunger of IT has never left but I need to refresh and enhance my knowledge. Thus far, have covered several concepts that will serve to reconnect me to my IT roots. I cannot wait to dive into the other courses and share as much as I can with my fellow classmates. I believe that no matter what aspect of IT one chooses as a career, it is important to have the technical support fundamentals because ALL IT professionals are seen as thee "go to" person irrespective of their chosen field.

I've taken a few courses in Coursera so far and I think this was the best one. The course was very well organized and explained complicated things in a simpler manner. I think everybody should take this course. At first I was confused whether to enroll in this course or not. I thought this introductory fundamental won't be that much of a deal. But to my utter surprise I found out that I learned so many things. There are so many IT terms we use everyday not knowing what that means or what that does. This course described many of those basic terms which were very essential for anyone I think.

Honestly one of if not the best format of learning I have ever had the opportunity to be a part of. Being taught somewhat advanced concepts by experts in said field is amazing because they are able to relay the curriculum in a way that is information heavy but not overwhelming. The instructors make sure you know the absolute essential concepts and how to apply them effectively. They actively helped me engage in critical thinking whether that be through testing scenarios or personal anectdotes. I highly reccomend taking this course and seeing what else google has to offer you! Bless you all

I came to the course with some background in IT and other types of technology. Being it a beginners course, a good part of the information was just refresher for me. However, I could appreciate how the methodology would absolutely help someone with no previous knowledge of IT, to understand the basics and confidently talk about it. I found the practical quizzes especially useful for this. Additionally, and since the course is oriented towards IT Support, I did learn some important things about customer service and self promotion that will come in handy in future endeavours. Recommended.

During this course, I was able to refresh (since they are concepts already learned in school) all the notions about what binary code, numbering systems, hardware, software, Internet and the World Wide Web, the system operating, mobile devices and customer service. I find that all topics are interrelated, so I couldn't say which one is my favorite. I have encountered almost zero difficulty in pursuing the lessons of this course.

The technicians who collaborated in the realization of this course have perfectly illustrated all the notions!

Of course I can't wait to attend the next course!

Before I start this course I was looking for many courses to develop my skills and improve my knowledge. And I followed some courses as well. But this is the perfect course that I ever had. Lessons are easy to understand and they are very clear. All the lessons are handled by professional instructors. They are conducting all the lessons efficiently step by step. Anyone can understand properly. For me, I had a great chance to develop my skills. Actually I'm really proud for following this course with Coursera. This is a great self-paced course for beginners to learn the fundamentals of IT Support with Google. The instructors are knowledgeable and friendly, and the course materials are easy to pick up.

One of the better aspects of this course is the Qwiklab assignments utilizing virtual machine technology to help prepare you for real-world trouble-shooting tasks, letting you learn directly on Windows and Linux machines.

I also love how a great emphasis is placed on good customer techniques as well as providing great tips on how to deal with difficult situations.

This course is very helpful for the people who aren't familiar with computers, this course needs no minimum knowledge required to start off, the explanations given in the videos are amazing,I already know all the topics that have been discussed but I wanted a certificate for that, But the people who don't know about these modern technology can go through this with ease, and expecting a job only through this certificate I guess it would be mean,nobody would give you a job even if you are talent but with no degree, so keeps all your skills certified with top companies like these

This course was a great introduction to IT and basic concepts of IT and computers. I chose this course because I am looking to change careers and know that I need training. I've always been interested in computers/computing but shied away from computing because of the math prerequisite and I had my mind set on journalism. I still love journalism, but ended up working in the travel industry - which I have really enjoyed as well.

The travel industry will make a great comeback, but in the meantime I wanted to take my downtime to explore new things. This course was perfect for that.

I've been stuck in a rut lately. Haven't been able to find work relevant to my degree. Lots of jobs saying things like "HS diploma or GED" and then requiring 3-4 years in the field and here I was, being told that a degree would get me into those jobs and accounted for my "experience."

Well, all I can say is that this program has provided an amazing opportunity. It's a fantastic and affordable way to get certified in a new field and potentially enter a new line of work and earn new qualifications. I am so thankful that this program has been made available to me and people like me.

I'm so proud of myself to reach this peak. Little did I know about IT all along working as an Accountant and Economist. My passion for IT grown when I first decided to pursue a career in Project Management. Now I'm super glad to have completed this resourceful course taught by brilliant IT professionals. To say the cost is far less than value received, is an understatement. No better place to be during this COVID-19 quarantine time than here. Employees at Google who have worked in IT for several years are teaching the class. This makes it feel like this class will really be worth the money I am spending and worth my time to listen to these instructors. I can only hope that such a certificate will be useful, because I have not received it, nor have I gone out for an IT position in the field. But I am exploring my possibilities with IT, and I believe this class is an excellent place to start. It teaches not only about the hardware involved with many problems you may encounter in the field, but also how it works.

I learned a lot in this course. It was hard at first. I don't understand the terms that were used. I was like searching the internet what's the meaning of this and that. I had to stop and go back at times. I thought I'm not a total beginner before but this course showed that I am indeed. I know nothing but now I'm proud to say I did run a command on Linux via a VM and it was fun and I was ecstatic. It's the best experience ever. Besides that, the instructors are really great in delivering their message. They say tech is easy with the right teachers and now I must agree!

The course was very informative on the true basics of being an I.T. support technician and provides a strong foundation to start your I.T. career.

The courses were easy to follow along and you're able to go back at any point to re-learn something you had forgotten.

The amount of supplemental reading sources was great because it put more responsibility on me to jump start my career and not the course instructors just telling me what to do.

I will definitely be continuing, not only my own research of the I.T. world, but the rest of the courses under this I.T. Certification

This course really helped me to learn more about how the internet works and also how networks are just a bunch of computers connected to other computers and those computers connected to computers through routers and modems and switches that help you navigate smoothly in your network. I also learned key points to IT support including effectively asking questions and problem solving i recommend this class before going to a collage I'm currently in collage as well as working on this certificate this is a cheaper option if you find a course you would like to learn about

Excellent introduction to IT and IT support! As an IT professional this primer left me walking away with things I didn't know, which was honestly a welcome surprise! I appreciate the focus on practical, applicable, knowledge rather than focusing on memorizing every peripheral developed between 1990 and today. Instructors are relatable, enthusiastic, and thorough. Every teacher featured does an excellent job of breaking down complex information into understandable terms--like to the point one's grandparent or small child could understand--which is extremely helpful.

As mentioned before, technology and its capabilities are vast, broad with products and solutions being created daily. With the advent of new domains and engineering fields( AI/ML), support demand will skyrocket. However, the demand requires specific capabilities, personalities, or skills. That's why I believe for any person perceived knowledge or general worker to take such initiative from Google and Coursera as a decent starting point to IT, that will help the further find their weakness and strength and most interestingly find a home with infinite opportunities.

I think that this course is really awesome. I had some prior knowledge going into this course because of playing video games all the time, and just working with computers. The names of hardware like CPU, SSD, RAM, and other components were familiar, but I never really knew what they meant, how they were used, how they were compatible and exactly how they all worked. Now I do. I really think that this has helped me get much in developing my interest for a career in IT, and I can't wait to see what the rest of the courses hold in store for me and the other students.

I believe this course is perfectly set up for someone who has beginner to zero knowledge of IT technical support skill or background. Myself, I picked up very useful resources to explore further and found value in the content of this course. I have already recommended this course to others, even those who already have this knowledge but to achieve a certificate anyhow. Thank you for designing this course and offering them.... I am working forwards on learning more in the diverse field and seriously considering a computer science degree going forwards.

Not only that the instructions are also mentioned while doing any assignment in qwiklabs so it made me more confident, If I stuck in any step so I can read the instructions and I can easily finish my assignments.
