With the MSEM program’s Fast App pathway, you can skip the traditional application process, and use your performance on two initial courses to secure your place on the program.
Complete two courses from the MSEM program with a B grade (or better), and show proof of your bachelor’s degree. Then you’ll be accepted onto the MSEM programme, and you’ll join the cohort in the following term.
Submit your Fast App and get started on your PBA pathway courses today.
Gain the skills needed to lead teams, drive innovation, and optimize engineering processes across industries.
Studying the MSEM core curriculum, you’ll acquire skills in key areas such as project management, economic evaluation of systems, technology transfer, and the management of research and development programs.
You’ll also get to select four elective courses in areas such as Management, Analytics, and Software Development, allowing you to develop specialized skills ready for engineering management in the field or industry of your choice.

Yes, it’s the same as the on-campus program. Upon program completion, you will receive your diploma. It’s a degree conferred for a Master of Science in Engineering Management, and your diploma won’t mention "online" or "Coursera".
Yes. The courses from the Fast App pathway are from the MSEM program and they’ll be applied to the full degree program, once you’ve completed them with a B or better (and provided proof of your bachelor’s degree).
The Northeastern University Fast App is a performance-based admissions process which allows you to earn graduate admission by completing real coursework. There’s no need to gather application materials, no need to wait for an admissions decision - simply let your coursework performance serve as your application into the graduate program.
After submitting the Fast App, you will get access to two performance-based admissions courses (pathway courses) for the next start date (Spring, Summer, Fall). Get a B or better in both pathway courses (and submit the official transcript of your bachelor’s degree by the time you complete the courses) and you'll continue into the full degree program the next term.
