The curriculum is built to help you get to the next level of your career and to advance your current education and experience with the most up-to-date skills in the industry.

Students with a degree in other fields of study from accredited institutions will be considered for provisional admission.

Learners from all backgrounds eligible for provisional acceptance

Provisional students will be required to complete two prerequisite courses during their first term and two additional core (SENG 510-SENG 550) courses with a ‘B’ or above. After successful completion of SENG 505 and the two core courses, the student will move to regular graduate status.

  • An accredited bachelor’s degree (in a STEM or unrelated field)

  • Personal statement

  • Resume

  • 2 letters of reference (academic of professional)

  • English language proficiency (for International applicants only)

Application Process

  • Create an account and complete the WVU Online Application including uploading your required documents.

  • Pay the graduate application fee and submit the application for admission.

  • Submit official undergraduate transcripts. WVU cannot accept scans, uploads, faxes, or unverified photocopies of transcripts as official.

  • It is preferred that official transcripts be sent via an online, secure service such as eScrip-Safe, National Student Clearinghouse, or Parchment to graduateadmissions@mail.wvu.edu.
