This is NOT Google's fault. But the forum blew up because of Coursera's decision to stagger start times for the course. I am trying to fast track this, and the fact that I have to wait now is unbelievable. There was NO warning, no mention that this would happen - it was just imposed on us arbitrarily.

Why this is a bad policy is because most don't complete purely self directed courses. Completion of these courses is largely determined by a participants' levels of motivation. Their motivation fluctuates across time.

By restricting when people can progress, this makes it harder for the motivated to complete the course. Sometimes, you get "in the zone" and are able to learn the material quickly thanks to Google's excellent course content. But, this is contingent on the motivated being able to take on more work during periods of high motivation. Blocking access to classes and forcing people to wait for an arbitrary time only serves to frustrate people and hamper the motivated.

Sorry Google, this class is great but this BS policy is horrible!

I thought this course was pretty good in the beginning. However, turns out the cloud based platform they teach you on has a time limit. So, after starting my capstone project using R, I was cut off from using it. I tried to move to the desktop version of R and it is nothing like the cloud based platform. I feel like I learned nothing and would not be able to tell an employer that I know how to use R.

I feel like all the other courses in this program were easy to follow and learn, however this course just jumped right into R and I found it extremely hard to understand.

the tutor cannot organize the content in a very logical way. it's not a good course for r programming in a cohesive series, i have to say, it's the worst.

There were serious issues with the audios in videos about which numerous complaints were made but to no avail. Pretty ridiculous from coursera.

As someone that has used R in the past, this is probably the worst way to try to teach someone R. To make matters worse, this is paid content.

I am not able to view my certificate, it requires me to verify my id, I have no problem with that, but that process is not working

It might be pretty decent but after 180 after purchase it locks you out, without warning. I wish it told you that somewhere.

If your intention is to learn R learn it somewhere else. Only completed this course to complete my Google DA certificate

It was not fun, the hands on projects were too short I felt like I was having a glimpse instead of actually learning R

Boring. Learned very little. They need a lot more exercises in order to reinforce the learning. Waste of my time.

Plenty of errors, corrupted files, stuff not working. have sent many reports they dont update stuff

I am not interested in this part as i know about pythin so I will go with python
