A truly excellent course, presented in an engaging format by Professor Len White. Many new avenues are now open for me to explore as a result of gaining this new level of knowledge.

I used this as preparation material for a module/test for my graduate degree and i found the videos to be clearer, more complete, and helpful than my actual courses. That is quite impressive.

Wow. Clear, complete, engaging overview of the wondrous world of the brain, brainstem, and nerves. With plenty of insights into their fragility, too, from early development to complex emotional and cognitive phenomena. Why not five stars? A little note concerning invasive animal experiments. The professor made a good job presenting every topic with the utmost respect, also showing awareness of criticisms, and he made a little reference to animal welfare standards and regulations in his workplace. But I personally prefer a clear presentation of paths towards the substitution of invasive animal tests. Anyway, in the framework of learning, it's important to know what others have done, even if you choose different paths. And the course offers an excellent foundation in medical neuroscience. Thank you, Professor White!

This course was very interesting and took a real deep dive into neuroscience. I do believe it will take more time than what is recommended to fully immerse yourself into the subject matter. The amount of knowledge that is put into this course is a lot, but it is really worth it to understand neuroscience. There were also a lot of helping tools recommended that really helped me through this course.

I did not take many extracurricular courses, but I think, no matter what, medical neuroscience by Duke will still be in my top 5. However, the tutorial notes were really insufficient. There are too many pdfs to download and not much content in them. In my opinion, what would make this course perfect is replacing tutorial notes with comprehensive PPTs.

It was an incredible job by Dr. White over these 200+ hours to help conceptualize principles of neuroscience such as 1. self-organization (cell to cell) 2. Genetics 3. Sensorimotor in developing the brain and the cool studies on how our perception of the orientation of objects requires sensory, but perception of movement is self organized.

This is an excellent program; very challenging. Some of the quizzes took multiple attempts and the final quizzes were summarizing of the lessons. Thank you Prof. White for the excellent lectures, and all your crew for.the production.

One of the most informative & detailed courses out there for all those interested in the cognitive sciences to enjoy. Never thought that I would enjoy such an informationally dense course but I did. Well made!

I am so glad to successfully accomplish this intensive course which offered an in-depth knowledge about neuroanatomy of human brain alongside getting an insight into the clinical disorders of the human brain.

Really detailed course but super medical (obviously) rather than anything too cognitive. I'd strongly recommend being very confident with biological sciences and chemistry to do this course.

Superb lectures and very comprehensive material.
Too much detail.
Exams are too difficult. Questions should have 4 or at most 5 answer choices and should focus more on overall concepts.

Excelente curso, pero demasiado largo y muy poco tiempo por semana para completar la fecha tope. Si se amplía el curso unas semanas más y es todo más espaciado sería de 5 estrellas.

SOmetimes the questions where not in order, this is, there were questions in some sections about topics that were in future sections

Lots of self study required by anyone from a non-biology/medical background. This is a very interesting topic, and is a good course.
