Easy to understand and thoroughly explained theoretical part, followed by practical examples to make the learned things stick. Great for the beginners but also for non-regular users of excel.

The course is good in general, it teaches you basic and advanced functions however, there are many aspects to improve.

Sometimes the videos have too much information and too fast, many functions are exclusive of the latest version and you can not do those practices with the online version of Excel.

I also experimented some issues with the platform some of the videos were not marked as "watched" and some quizzes were blank.

Although I know Microsoft is a technological company and their main focus is on productivity and data, I cannot ignore the fact that this course lacks a better pedagogy and warmer human touch, I completed the course and I never knew the moderators' name of the course.

While I understand this is an introduction to Microsoft Excel with basic instructions, there could have been more (optional) practice work with formulas and functions. I am not good at remembering formulas and when to apply them, so I found it very frustrating when the quizzes would throw in a formula question and ask me if the formula was correct. Just giving a long text page listing formulas is not the best way for me to learn and I would imagine others would also find it difficult. The formatting, table use, and importing data sections were easier to understand and I will have no problems using those aspects of Excel.

This is a decent course to learn some of the basics of how to use Excel. I wish HLOOKUP and VLOOKUP were covered. The assignment design didn't really help me absorb the material. I don't benefit from assignments that tell me: "Click this button. Enter this text. Change this color." I do much better when an assignment has a prompt for me to figure out - that way, I gain a deeper understanding of how to do something and why to do something in a specific way. It requires a deeper level of participation from the student, and I think that's the best way to really learn.

The main course was excellent. The Honors course, however, was very confusing and not very clear in its directions. I couldn't figure out how to turn things in since those directions were at the very bottom of the module and separate from the "My Submissions" tab located in the project "lesson". The only instructions relating to how to turn things in within the directions of my project simply said to go to "My Submissions" tab but neglected to tell me how to utilize this tab to turn my project in. It was a struggle to say the least.
