This is a course which I enjoyed. It gave a good insight of the learning methodologies which we have often heard of but not given due importance. Also, the brain facts is cool :) My 5/5 to this course

They showcase a certain skill level that can beat out the biggest competition. They also help you build valuable skills that will prove the claims stated on your resume. However, be smart about it.

There was a quiz in week 2 that was hard to pass. That was the only problem.

Videos too long, not enough quizzes to break them up or labs.

I was really not a fan of this course at all. Most of the videos were a man sitting at a table listing definitions and acronyms, with very little dedicated to actually showing how it all relates. This is the worst way to get across the information in a field that is very hands on. The Qwiklabs were the best part, and this time around they were optional, and would frequently have nothing to do with the videos I just watched. He also said "you can read all about it in the next Supplemental Reading" so many times I don't know why the videos weren't replaced by a book. I was hoping this course would be like the last one on Operating Systems where it's very hands on examples, but it was just lectures with little practical examples.

I believe there's an opportunity for improvement in the delivery of the course material on "System Administration and IT Infrastructure Services". While the courses are informative, I feel that the lack of animation and hands-on demonstrations can make it challenging for some learners to understand the concepts. I suggest incorporating more visual aids, such as animated videos, to enhance the learning experience. By simplifying the content and presenting it in a more engaging way, learners can better grasp the key concepts and apply them in real-world scenarios. This approach has the potential to make computer science more accessible to a wider audience, and I hope to see more courses utilize these techniques in the future.

COURSE NEEDS UPDATING. felt like a lot of my time a was wasted with this teacher who doesn't ecxplain well and didnt really teach much. the course is so broken down into so many sub lessons its wasteful. course should have bewen put together better or different teacher who didnt breqak it down so much, all this did was make it harder and have to constant go back and forth constatly in the course. the 30 second intro videos before he attepmts to start is worthless and pointless. this course jsut felt like the teacher BSed his way through it for a pay check. Out of the courses ive taken so far on Coursera thhe others were great, but this one needs updating. like i said i had to pretty much teach myelf

An essay with no right or wrong answers and all 3 have to be 200 or more words is just insane to me, I feel like I haven't learned a thing in this outdated course, the concept of AD is extremely easy to grasp, since I have started using it since I started my IT job, but this instructors details and explanations are so poor, using outdate software, and feels like he's reading off a script he didn't write himself while the last girl actually felt genuine, doing the quizzes and test on "perspective" questions and not about what was physically said within the videos/readings. I don't know, Sysadmin is what I do and I love it, but this made me just hate it. Congrats to everyone who passed I guess.

The labs were a joke. The main reason I took this course was to learn directory services and specifically Active Directory. The lab for active directory wasn't even setup properly for me to do anything. Regarding OpenLDAP the lab did work but there was hardly any actual practice allowing me to familiarize myself with the way things work. It's great to hear about something but I would have liked to actually do it and setup something complex instead of the most simple situation someone could imagine. Please revise the course. Thanks.

Guess who couldn't be bottered, even though they're being paid to do so, to make proper videos with all the information being lectured...? There's more supplementary reading than videos to watch / listen. I'm always multitasking, if I wanted to read and not do anything else, I could've searched and found the information myself, I don't need Coursera to do that, just a thought. VM, especcialy Windows VM is unbearably laggy, and it's not possible to zoom the screen, whithout an external tool, making the information on the screen too small.

Most courses are filled with mistakes and errors, the modules don't work well, the information is outdated, and annoying jokes and liberal politics are forced on the student. This course should in no way be labelled as preparation for the CompTIA A+ exam. In information and conciseness, this course is far worse than Professor Messer's free YouTube series. The only thing this is good for really is the badge and credential, though I'm still not sure how much benefit this provides.

The System Administration and IT Infrastructure Services course provided a thorough understanding of the theories and concepts of managing IT infrastructure. However, I was disappointed that there was a lack of implementation and practical exercises throughout the course. While the course covered a wide range of topics, including network security, storage management, and server administration, the lack of hands-on practice made it difficult to fully grasp the material.

Absolutely hated this course. I went from being very into this certificate program to being insanely bored and confused simultaneously. It was poorly put together and hard to understand compared to the other courses. I can tell most people felt this way too because it looks like they lazily took out the exams or made them way easier. I am super glad to be done with it. They should take completely redo this particular course if I'm being honest.

The whole system was third class and it is not easy to get certificate due to technical glitches in Coursera. In addition, there is no direct contact to share our problem and there is no resolution.

Why students have to suffer? I am not satisfied with services provided by Coursera. If I would have a option to give zero star, I must give zero star but cursur doen not allow me to do this.

Focuses too much on linux, when is should show you both windows and linux. The prevous courses shows windows why not this one. Its like its part of a whole differnt Certifaction. The farther you get in this course the lazyer the people were creating this. Even this program to write this here is broken cant do the spell check and if i do it duplicats the whole review. SAD!!!!!!!!

I can't believe a compnay the size of Google has made such poorly put together classes. The presenters are terrible on camera, the production values look like a cable access show, and there are legit errors throughout that are just left in without re-shooting. Didn't anyone proof-read the scripts beforehand? Really unprofessional.

It is just a primer. This will get you a job in the chat-box helping people perhaps. Very unhappy worst $40 I ever spent. I have had zero job responses even from employers since taking this course. If Coursera can find me a job in this field granted the chat-box is all it qualifies you for then I will re-write this review.

Information overload, didn't really put the information to practice as well. Lots of things are thrown as you and not explained much or they are explained in a very brief manner. No labs to practice with and generally just loads of information that's briefly touched on and then quickly moving onto a new subject.

The script to follow along with for a majority of the course was plagued with errors. It made understanding the material difficult and frustrating when trying to take notes. I urge for someone to overhaul the script so its easier to understand. Extremely disappointing.
