About the Course

This course is designed to give you the fundamentals of Project Management. You will learn the basic principles of Project Management by managing a fundraising event for your local farmers market. You will designate responsible team members to help you, build a timeline and see the different ways that you can manage the project. Together, we will walk through not only the documentation, but also the theories and reasoning behind each task. You will learn how to look at a large project and break it down into manageable pieces and then how to build an action plan so that you hit your deadlines with your team. By the end of the course, you will have created a Project Scope document, Stakeholder Responsibility Matrix, sequenced a task list, added task owners, and a explored several popular project views using Project Management software. You will be ready to tackle a project on your own or will be equipped to take a higher-level course in Project Management. Note: This course works best for learners who are based in the North America region. We’re currently working on providing the same experience in other regions....

Nice course, Dear Megan Peck. It can be made more interesting by including hands-on work and case studies, for better clarity to prepare one for a job or higher studies in PM.

I'm between 3-4 stars. Great intro to the thought process and fundamentals behind project management planning. My cloud desktop was very slow, often crashed. Asana was very slow. I wish the course wasn't timed at 1:30. Since my cloud desktop was so slow and I had difficulty accessing Asana, I had to keep stopping the instructor video and felt pressured with time. I would have preferred more time, or unlimited time to complete the project and/or practice in it for longer. After completing the course, you do receive a free 30 day Asana trial, which is awesome, so I plan to go through the course again and practice what was shown to me in Excel and Asana on my own computer.

Useful only if you have absolutely no prior experience with Asana. If you do, skip the course as it will not teach you anything new. Good introduction into how to begin structuring a project yet very basic.

A good starter, but in no ways should it be called a guided project especially as it pertains to project management. Take theory before coming here
